Little did I know, another phase of life was about to begin.
On Thursday, September 20, 2012 I attended a conference called Story Chicago. It only took twelve years for me to share the key takeaways. Originally, my sister, Julie, planned to attend with me, but something came up. So, I sat down, notebook in hand, with the first session about to begin—alone. With a vacant seat to my right, a woman walked down the auditorium aisle and asked if the seat was taken. I responded that the seat was available. This woman ended up as my wife—now former wife. Within this context and with mixed emotions, I share these notes with you.
